Project Management Strategy and Design Fellowship
The Project Management Strategy and Design Fellowship provides participants with practical tools for leading collaborative projects with clarity, efficiency, and shared expectations. Through interactive sessions, participants learn how to set communication norms, define roles and responsibilities, manage tasks and timelines, and support effective teamwork across different levels (PIs, project managers, graduate students, and undergraduates). By the end of the fellowship, participants will produce a project charter and a backwards-designed project roadmap, providing a clear framework for decision-making, quality control, progress monitoring, and navigating challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

- Badge: Each participant will receive a Project Management Strategy and Design badge upon completion of the program.
- Program requirements: There are eight PMSD sessions over the course of the fall semester. In fall 2026, meetings will be held on Tuesdays from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

Applications are due by midnight August 15, 2026.
- Name, department, program, year in program
- A 2-page CV
- Explanation of project focal theme or area with specific attention to its relationship to the humanities or the humanistic social sciences
- Reference by faculty lead stating that the applicant will be working on the project. Copies of email confirmations are acceptable.
Eligibility: Participants should be graduate students in good standing at UT Austin who are part of a UT faculty or staff-led collaborative research project. This is an in-person program and it is expected that participants will attend all the sessions.
