Welcome to the Faculty-Student Research Partnership Program (FSRP) hosted by the Humanities Institute within the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas at Austin!

The FSRP offers the unique opportunity for faculty and students to collaborate on humanities projects. Our program aims is designed to foster meaningful partnerships, advance research, and enhance skills.

We welcome collaborations across all humanities disciplines. Partnering with students can be a rewarding experience, and we encourage exploring these partnerships!

How It Works

  • Faculty Participation: Distinguished faculty members actively participate in the FSRP. They bring their expertise and passion for research to guide students through exciting projects.
  • Student Involvement: Students have the opportunity to work closely with faculty mentors on mutually beneficial research endeavors. This partnership allows them to gain valuable skills and contribute to cutting-edge academic work.
  • Project Commitment: Research skill development and project expectations are designed to be manageable. On average, participants dedicate up to 4 hours per week to their FSRP projects.
  • Faculty Reports: At the end of each project, faculty/student members provide a brief report summarizing research goals achieved and the skills developed during the collaboration.
