  • Award: Faculty Research Fellows receive a single course release. The course release can be taken in the Fall or Spring semester and is provided by the HI (with Chair's approval) for COLA faculty. Faculty from outside COLA should secure a commitment for a release from their dean prior to applying. The program spans the entire academic year.
  • Program requirements:  In-person spring semester cohort meetings offer opportunities to share and discuss research progress. Awardees must be on campus for in-person accountability groups and workshops in the spring semester. Awardees must participate in one wider UT audience talk, seminar, or workshop for early career faculty and students. A one-on-one meeting with HI staff is offered to explore options for external research support.
  • Next Deadline: Spring semester
  • Next Start Date: Fall semester
