Facilities

The Institute for Mental Health Research is located in the College of Liberal Arts Building (CLA). The CLA was built in 2013 and houses a variety of departments, including classrooms, offices, lab space, and meeting rooms. Lab space for the IMHR was completed in the summer of 2015 and is now fully operational.

The IMHR includes dedicated office and research space that contains research labs tailored to the needs of each investigator, a participant waiting room, conference rooms, a computer lab for data processing and analysis, a biospecimen collection and storage room, office space for faculty, staff, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate students, and a break room. As new faculty join the IMHR, there will be room for additional research laboratories designed for the specific needs of each investigator.

The Liberal Arts Building is very close to the heart of campus (where many undergraduate classes are held) and a 10-minute walk to the Department of Psychology or the Imaging Research Center located in the Norman Hackerman building. This space allows IMHR faculty members to work in state-of-the-art facilities designed to foster collaboration and innovation while simultaneously allowing IMHR faculty to access collaborators and resources from around the campus community.
