Fun Fact: I have a 2-year-old Blue Heeler named Tilly.

Why did you join LAH?: I think this answer is two-fold: I wanted the recognition of an honors program to commemorate my achievements prior to and during my undergraduate years, and I found the idea of a community that fosters the opportunity for research, study abroad, and career development to be extremely enticing. It was also reassuring to know that I would have a guaranteed community of passionate, ambitious students and staff who would be willing to support me and my academic endeavors.

What’s your favorite part of being in LAH?: While there is plenty to choose from, I’d have to say that my favorite aspect of LAH has been the people involved. Because you are registered for classes with your honors cohort from the beginning of your freshman year until the end of your sophomore year, you befriend plenty of fellow LAHers and come to know members of the staff very well. I’m friends still to this day with students I met on my first day of classes.
