Health
LRI advances a robust interdisciplinary research portfolio that examines the social and structural determinants of health among Latino populations across the lifespan. LRI affiliates with expertise in the humanities, health sciences, social sciences, and public policy address a wide range of health conditions including chronic disease, mental health, substance use, and access to health and behavioral care, with particular attention to culturally and linguistically responsive interventions. This work emphasizes community-engaged methodologies that inform health policy, strengthen service delivery systems, and improve population health outcomes across Texas and beyond.
