Fellowships: Society of Fellows
Each year exceptional applicants are selected for research fellowships with the intention of fostering growth and intellectual collaboration in interdisciplinary communities composed of peers and senior fellows.
Michigan
Each year the Society selects outstanding applicants for appointment to three-year fellowships in the humanities, the arts, the social, physical, and life sciences, and in the professional schools. We seek a broad pool of applicants and especially welcome candidates from underrepresented backgrounds. The newly appointed Postdoctoral Fellows join a unique interdisciplinary community composed of their peers as well as the Senior Fellows of the Society, who include many of the University’s leading scholars. Alumni Fellows of the Society have gone on to become distinguished scholars at institutions around the world.

The Princeton Society of Fellows, an interdisciplinary group of scholars in the humanities, social sciences, and selected natural sciences, calls for fellowship applications annually. Three to five postdoctoral fellows are appointed each year for three-year terms in residence to pursue research and teach half-time in their academic host department. The fellowships carry with them an appointment as lecturer in a fellow's host department.
Columbia
The Columbia Society of Fellows in the Humanities, with grants from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, appoint a number of postdoctoral fellows in the humanities each academic year. The Society of Fellows is committed to assembling an inclusive academic community. Toward this end, we especially encourage applications from scholars of all backgrounds and interests.

The Dartmouth Society of Fellows is an interdisciplinary community that supports the integration of research and teaching excellence. The Society encourages both individual and collaborative scholarship. In addition to pursuing research and teaching, members of the Society meet weekly during the academic terms for the exchange of ideas, and discussion of their scholarship and current research.

The Martin Buber Society of Fellows in the Humanities at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, is a German Foundation financed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Its research facility is situated at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. It is aimed at creating a creative, vibrant scholarly environment for outstanding young scholars in all fields of the Humanities and Social Sciences.
