Scholarships and Internships

The Program in Native American and Indigenous Studies (NAIS) is pleased to announce the NAIS Summer 2025 Undergraduate Grant application for undergraduate students enrolled in the Indigenous Studies Undergraduate Certificate program. Grant requests can be made for up to $500 to fund conference or research travel related to Indigenous issues. 
 
Eligibility
All active undergraduate students currently pursuing the Indigenous Studies Undergraduate Certificate are encouraged to apply. Eligible funding requests include:

  • Upcoming conference travel occurring in Spring 2025 or Summer 2025.
  • Upcoming research activities for Summer 2025. 

Application process
Please complete the application form linked here as soon as possible and no later than 5pm CST on Monday, March 24th, 2025.

Review and post-award process
Applications are reviewed and ranked by a committe of NAIS Faculty Advisory Council Members. Notifications of awards for upcoming travel will be made in early April 2025. If selected for the grant, funds will be dispersed as a scholarship.
