On Monday, April 2nd, Dr. Sharlene Mollett (University of Toronto) will lead our first workshop as part of NAIS's Series on "Land, Territorries, and Environment" at UT Austin. Dr. Mollett is an assistant professor at the Department of Human Geography and the Centre of Critical Development Studies at the University of Toronto. As a political ecologist and critical cultural geographer, her research is positioned at the intersection of postcolonial political ecology and critical feminist/racial studies in the Americas. Dr. Mollett's recent publications include "Critical Feminist Reflexivity and the Politics of Whiteness in the 'Field'" and "Bargaining with Patriarchy’: Miskito struggles over family land in the Rio Plátano Biosphere Reserve." This NAIS activity is organized in collaboration with the Department of Geography and the Environment at UT Austin.
