Indigenous Danza

Indigenous Danza Ollinyollotl is a community led Aztec Dance practice that is held weekly, locations TBD depending on days and weather. Ollinyollotl translates to "Movement of the Heart" in Nahuatl. Together, we practice Danza Azteca (Aztec Dance) to the beat of a drum and teach each other songs that are in indigenous languages of this land. These danzas originate in Mesoamerica and have been practiced for millennia. They have been passed down to indigenous students from indigenous mentors who have been practicing them for decades. This is an inclusive safe space where we want to learn and help strengthen each other holistically. Mind, Body, Heart, Spirit.
