Birthday Ball

Every fall, the battalion hosts its annual Birthday Ball to celebrate the birthdays of the Navy and Marine Corps.  This formal event brings together current and past members of the battalion for a ceremonious evening of dinner and dancing.  Midshipmen invite dates to join in celebrating this occassion. This event is put on completely by the midshipmen, who go through numerous rehearsals to see to the flawless execution of each part of the event.  The event culminates with a traditional cake cutting followed by a speech by a guest of honor.
