Tutoring

All PFP scholars recieve extra support through tutoring:

Tutoring is a critical component of the Portuguese Flagship Program that provides students with extra practice and focused, individualized attention as they progress through the program and work to meet proficiency goals. 

The Portuguese Flagship Program has partnered with the Institute of Clara Ramos (ICR) to provide in-depth tutoring opportunities for Flagship students with instructors in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil.

PFP Scholars are required to attend 1-hour weekly tutoring sessions, which are held over ZOOM with ICR instructors.

Tutors work with PFP scholars on the following activities:

• Free Speech and Oral Conversation
• Homework Review
• Vocabulary
• Grammar Review
• Any subject of particular interest expressed by the student
