Plan II Freshman Getaway- Saturday, September 7, 2024
The Plan II Honors Program and the Plan II Student Association (P2SA) are co-hosting the annual Freshman Getaway event.
You'll meet your 2024-2025 P2SA Officers, share a meal with others, and have a good time at the Shady Springs Party Barn, which features swimming, volleyball, basketball, and much more!
*Plan II and P2SA want all first-year students to participate in Getaway & P2SA. Transportation from campus to Shady Springs & back will be provided. RSVP forms are now closed. Email armida.ordorica@austin.utexas.edu with any questions.

2024 Freshman Convocation - Wednesday, September 11, 2024
Convocation is a required event for all Plan II Honors First Year students. (The only accepted excuses for missing Convocation are scheduled UT classes and Texas Exes Scholarship Award dinners.)
Convocation will be held in JGB 2.324 at 5pm. The P2SA Student Organization Fair will begin at 6pm location TBA.
The official welcome to Plan II, Convocation will feature presentations from the Plan II Director, Dr. Alexandra Wettlaufer, and other Plan II faculty, staff, alums, and students. After the formal program, move to RLP basement for the Plan II Student Association (P2SA) Org Fair in various rooms.

2024 Voltaire's Coffees (aka VCs)
At the beginning of the Fall 2024 semester, freshmen will meet in small, informal book discussions with some of the most acclaimed professors at UT—a part of a Plan II tradition called "Voltaire's Coffee."
Students are required to attend at least one Voltaire's Coffees, but are encouraged to sign up for more (if space allows). Plan II students in P2SA choose the sponsoring professors who in turn choose the books to discuss. The result is a delightful mix of books, ranging from the sublime to the entertaining, covering all areas of study, and a discussion that promises to be illuminating. If the book listed has a translation, please buy the one specified, as different versions can give different impressions.

Spring 2025 Advising and Registration
You will register for Fall 2024 during New Student Orientation this summer.
Spring 2025 Registration is open from October - November 2024. Please check your Registration Information Sheet (RIS) for your registration access times.
