College of Liberal Arts Public Affairs Internship
The internship at the College of Liberal Arts Public Affairs team is designed to provide students interested in journalism, media, and public relations opportunities to grow their writing portfolios. The COLA PA intern will assist the public affairs team by implementing social media campaigns, writing internal and external news releases, and writing articles for the College’s award-winning online and print magazine Life & Letters.
Ideal candidates have demonstrated professional verbal and written communications skills, demonstrated social media savviness, and self-reliance when researching article topics.
The internship position is not benefits-eligible, but provides a stipend of $15/hour for up to 10 hours each week during the fall and spring semesters. Students must be registered for a minimum of 12 hours of coursework and be able to work in the U.S. without restrictions in order to be eligible for the stipend. In addition, students may earn academic credit through the internship courses offered by Liberal Arts Career Services.
2024-2025 Application Cycle
The application period for 2024-2025 is now closed. The 2025-2026 application period will open in Spring 2025.
