Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR)

An excellent resource for students covering a wide range of topics related to reseach including how to get started, the benefits and models of research, finding projects, faculty mentoring & expectations, publishing, presenting your work, etc...   The OUR hosts weekly information sessions and also coordinates the campus-wide Research Week event each spring which celebrates undergraduate research and creative activity.

  • Eureka! - A searchable database designed to support undergraduate participation in research and creative activity across campus. EUREKA includes profiles for University of Texas at Austin faculty members with information about their research interests and links to their department web pages. 
  • Office of Research Support - Ensures that all research conducted on campus complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and University policies.

  • Summer Research Scholars Programs - UT hosts a number of programs on campus each summer.  The programs select academically talented and motivated students to paricipate in exciting research in a variety of disciplines. 

  • SURGe - A student organization that facilitates and promotes undergraduate research, helps students network with faculty and other student researchers, and hosts lab tours, faculty research talks, workshops, poster sessions, socials and more.
