Isabel McLoughlin Brooks holds a BA in Geography and a Certificate in GIS from the University of Mary Washington and a Master of City and Regional Planning from the Edward J. Bloustein School for Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University. At UT she is a trainee of the Population Research Center and a doctoral student in the Sociology Department. Her main interests include exploring the fertility consequences of climate change and religiously rooted sectarian violence. She also focuses on the role of religiosity and emotion, particularly guilt, in the contraceptive decision making of young Christian women.
