Psychology Distinguished Teaching Professor Timothy J Schallert passed away on May 29, 2018, at age 68. Dr. Schallert was a first-class scientist, a devoted teacher, and a mentor and friend. He gave his heart and soul to the department in so many ways. We have all benefited from his legacy and he will be sorely missed.
An obituary in the Society for Neuroscience describes his many contributions, both professionally and personally.
To honor Prof. Schallert's legacy, his colleagues have established the Timothy J. Schallert Excellence Fund, which will be used to support an annual speaker series in the Department of Psychology.
