Minors

All students must complete a minor in order to graduate with a degree in Psychology.

However, the Department of Psychology DOES NOT offer a minor at this time.

For students in the 2010–2012, 2012–2014, or 2014–2016 catalogs

The minor requirement is 12 hours of coursework in the same subject, with at least 6 of those hours being upper-division.

For students in the 2016–2018, 2018-2020, & 2020-2022 catalogs

The minor requirement is 15–21 hours of coursework, depending on the area of study. Students must apply for a minor from an approved list of minors with specific course requirements. A certificate can replace a minor.

While a minor does not need to have anything in common with one's major, many students choose minors that are related to their interests.

Psychology Advisors will help students select minors that will enhance their goals, to do so please set an appointment here.
