Gary Wallin

M.A. in Religion, Yale Divinity School



Gary Wallin is a doctoral student in the Religion in the Ancient Mediterranean program, focusing on Greco-Roman religions and Christian origins.  His research explores the relationship between Greco-Roman divinatory specialists, oracular performance, and early Christian prophets.  He is interested in various cultic practices of Roman Corinth, ritual as embodied performances, and reading as geographically specific social acts.   

Before arriving at the University of Texas at Austin, Gary received his M.A. in Religion from Yale Divinity School and his B.A. in Ancient History at the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
