Scholarships for Students in the Internship Program in Jewish Studies

Schusterman Center for Jewish Studies is offering scholarships for students participating in unpaid internships through the Internship Program in Jewish Studies.

Amount: Scholarships up to $2,000 will be granted to selected recipients
Deadline: February 7, 2024

Students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply:

  1. Be enrolled in LA320J “Internship Program in Jewish Studies.”
  2. Be a degree-seeking undergraduate student at UT Austin.
  3. Have secured an internship with an organization approved by the Schusterman Center’s Internship Program Director.
  4. Your internship position is unpaid.

In addition to meeting the criteria above, international students must receive work authorization for the internship from the International Office to be eligible.

Students receiving internship funding or stipend(s) through other organizations for this internship position are not eligible. 

You must intern a minimum of 10 hours per week for a minimum of 13 weeks during the 14-week semester.

Scholarship Distribution

The scholarship will be distributed in two portions, 1/2 at the beginning of the semester and 1/2 at the end of the semester.  In order to be eligible for the second portion of the scholarship, you must complete the internship in good standing.
