Gale Lecture: Samuel G. Freedman
Based on his recently-published book, Into the Bright Sunshine: Young Hubert Humphrey and the Fight for Civil Rights, Samuel G. Freedman talks Hubert Humphrey's tenure as Mayor of Minneapolis in the 1940s, during which he took a stand agains antisemitic, bigoted extremists and their mainstream enablers, transforming Minneapolis into a national model of forward progress on human rights.
