Funding Your Education

UT's Office of Student Financial Services estimates non-tuition expenses (housing, food, other educational and incidental expenses) to exceed $1,000 a month. When considering how you will fund your college education, be sure to take into consideration the many resources available to you:

• Fellowships and Scholarships (internal and external sources)
• Grants for research, study, and/or travel
• Employment opportunities (on campus and off)
• Financial Aid (Office of Student Financial Services)

Texas Exes Scholarships for Grad Students

Texas Exes Scholarship Staff have a whole host of scholarships including need-based and merit-based scholarships, specifically for graduate students. We encourage all students to apply. Please note that funding for these scholarships vary year to year.

The scholarship application is available at texasexes.academicworks.com. To apply, students will complete our Current UT Graduate Application, which will auto-match them to many of our scholarships (should they qualify). Once students have submitted this portion of the application, they will then have the option to apply to any of our other scholarships that have additional requirements or qualifications. Current graduate students have until March 1 at 11:59 pm CST to submit their application for Texas Exes scholarships.

If you have questions, please review our FAQ or email scholarships@texasexes.org.
