Majors who are candidates for special honors in Russian, East European, and Eursian Studies should apply to the Honors Advisor Dr. Marina Alexandrova for admission to the honors program during the first semester of their third year; they must apply no later than the beginning of their fourth year. The honors application is available with other Undergraduate Student Forms.
A University grade point average of at least 3.00 and a grade point average in REE of at least 3.50 are required for admission.
The requirements for graduation with special honors are:
- REE 679HA with a grade of at least B
- REE 679HB with at least a grade of B, in which an honors paper judged "acceptable for Honors in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies" is written
- A University grade point average of at least 3.00 and a grade point average in REE of at least 3.50
- Completion at the University of at least sixty semester hours of course work counted toward the degree
