The Christine Williams Prize

In recognition of Professor Emeritus Christine Williams and to honor her many contributions to the sociological study of gender, the Department of Sociology is pleased to announce an effort to raise funds for The Christine Williams Prize. Funds will be used to award a financial prize to The University of Texas at Austin graduate student with the best paper in the sociological study of gender. Awards will be made annually while funds are available. We hope you will consider joining us by making a contribution to this fund.

Make a Gift
To make a gift online, please click the "Make a Gift" button on the Texas Giving webpage. In the "Designation" dropdown field, type the word "Sociology" and select "Department of Sociology." In the "Comments" field at the bottom, write that your donation is for the "Christine Williams Prize." Complete the rest of the form as directed.

To make a gift by check, please write your check to "The University of Texas at Austin," for "Department of Sociology - Christine Williams Prize" and mail to: 1 University Station, Mail Stop A3000, Austin TX 78712.
