This list is for anyone who is interested in South Asia.

Join the South Asia Institute Graduate UT Listserv
This list is open to graduate students from any department who are interested in South Asia Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Students in the FLAS Program are required to be on this list.

If you are currently a faculty member at the University of Texas at Austin, and would like to become a core member or UT faculty affiliate, please fill out the Faculty Affiliate / Core Membership Form. 

If you are a faculty member at another university or college, and are interested in becoming an Extramural Affiliate of SAI, please complete the Extramural Affiliate Form.

Submit announcements to the SAI Weekly Bulletin

If you have an event you would like to have listed in the weekly bulletin, please send the information to sai@austin.utexas.edu with the subject heading "Bulletin Submission: (event name/announcement)".  Information received by 5pm on Friday will be included in the following Monday's afternoon bulletin.

Please note that the event must be relevant to South Asia, and it must be free to the public or organized by a nonprofit. The submission must follow the required format or it may not be included:

  • Event Name/Announcement
  • Date (include weekday), Time, Place, or Deadline
  • No more than 200 words describing the event or announcement
  • Link or Email address to contact for more information
