The Afghanistan Trunk includes the following:

An overview of Tibet, quick facts, and quite a bit of information on Buddhism, including a guide to Buddhist beliefs, information on Tara, the Buddhist savior-goddess, Tibetan temple bell and vajra, tingshas (cymbals), prayer flags, a "wheel of life" painting, etc. Curriculum materials suitable for use in K-12 classrooms.
Nepal Cultural Enrichment Trunk
An overview of Nepal, including quick facts, geography, history, several children's books, religious artifacts from both Buddhism and Hinduism like prayer flags, singing bowls, khada scarves, etc., music & art pieces such as the sarangi, tingsha cymbals, and wall hangings, clothing, and cuisine. Curriculum materials suitable for use in K-12 classrooms.

- The South Asia Institute will cover the shipping cost of the requested trunk(s).
- We do not cover the shipping costs of returning the trunk(s). Once shipped out, you are responsible for covering the shipping cost back to Austin.
- Trunks may be utilized for however long you may need them.
- We package the materials and will send in cardboard boxes.
- We do our best to secure the items as best as we can as there are many fragile objects (please handle with care).
- Boxes will usually arrive in rugged condition due to the shipping process.
- We ask that when returning the trunks that you secure the items properly so that they are not damaged during the shipping process.
- If the original box that we send may be torn or unfit to ship the materials, you are responsible for shipping trunks back to us in a new box (or another secure method of shipping).
