Course Description:

Your liberal arts major has given you a body of knowledge and a perspective for viewing the world that you can rely on for the rest of your life.  But it’s not always easy to make the connections between what you’ve studied in your classes and your life outside the classroom.  This one-credit course is designed to help you get the most from your major, integrate the formal and informal learning you’ve acquired, and discover ways to enhance your major with employment, internships, and other experiences.

We will focus on “Wise Wanderings™”: an intelligent system for moving through your major into your life beyond UT.  We will look at where you’ve been and where you might go, help you develop your “possible lives,” and expand your network of possible wanderings: the intellectual and experiential space in which you operate.  You will learn valuable skills in mapping, visual thinking, scenario planning, and storytelling as you develop your future plans.
