Social Environment and Aging Faculty
Scientists in the Social Environment and Aging area understand aging through the lens of social and behavioral science, nursing, sociology, public affairs, and architecture. These researchers focus on understanding and improving aging by examining how social characteristics of individuals and groups impact physical, psychological, and social quality of life. They also examine how different social environments promote variation in health outcomes such as morbidity and mortality rates.
