Arabic Reading Group - Arabic Table

The Arabic Table will be held weekly and is open to students who are in 2nd year Arabic and higher.  The table will be run by one of our Arabic TAs, Feras Altwaim. For questions, contact Arabic Program Coordinator Olla Al-Shalchi.

The Hebrew Roundtable is a weekly gathering for students to practice speaking Hebrew in a casual setting.

Japanese Study Group - JLPT Prep Club

By studying together with fellow students, stay motivated and get ready for the test. Bring your own study material or use ours. We have various textbooks for all the levels, N5 to N1. Persian Conversation Group - Persian Table

Persian Table is a weekly informal meeting between Persian learners at the University of Texas at Austin, organized by advanced-level students. The objective of Persian Table meetings is to encourage students to form a community of Persian speakers and practice their language skills in actual conversations, regardless of their level of the language.

Turkish Conversation Hour - Çay Saati: Turkish Tea and Conversation Hour

The Turkish Tea and Conversation Hour is an informal gathering that facilitates Turkish speaking practice and friendships among members of the UT community who are Intermediate, Advanced or heritage/native speakers of Turkish. All UT students, faculty and staff who speak Turkish at the Intermediate level or higher are welcome! In Fall 2025, the Turkish Tea and Conversation Hour will take place on Fridays, 2-3 pm, in the Middle Eastern Studies Reading Room (CAL 516).
