Chloe Dillaway is the Associate Project Manager for the statewide Postpartum Contraception Study. She assists with the preparation and testing of the research instrument and the development of IRB proposals for the multi-site study. She will also train and supervise interviewers across all study sites and manage the REDCap data capture system for data collection.

From April 2012 through February 2014, she was a bilingual research participant interviewer for the two-site Postpartum Contraception Study. Along with her co-interviewer, Natasha Mevs-Korff, Chloe recruited 400 English- and Spanish-speaking participants at St. David’s Medical Center and conducted follow-up interviews with each participant over the course of 24 months. In addition to interviewing, Chloe assisted in the development of the research instruments and training materials and provided support to the interviewers in the El Paso branch of the study.

Chloe graduated from Tufts University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in international relations, public health and Spanish. Though new to reproductive health research, Chloe’s previous research experience includes an internship with Children’s HealthWatch, monitoring the impact of economic conditions and public policies on the health of young children at Boston Medical Center. While at Tufts, she worked with Health Horizons International in implementing a community health survey in rural villages of the Dominican Republic. Most recently, she worked at the Yale School of Medicine Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation on developing hospital-based outcome measures for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Originally from New Haven, Connecticut, Chloe is new to Austin and enjoys exploring everything that it has to offer. She also loves to travel and spend time with friends and family.
