Hero
The Hero component is the visual introduction to your content.
Best Practices:
- Images should be clear, optimized for web
- 1000px minimum size
- Avoid using images copied from websites; pixelation can occur.
- Avoid heavily filtered and edited images.
- For portraiture images, consider the rule of thirds when choosing composition.
- Always use images that have been approved for use either from university or college asset collections or custom photography. If images are third party, always get approval and credit the photographer. This is true for all imagery on your site.

Settings
- Alt Text - Add text that describes the image. Adding alt text is an important part of ensuring that the College's sites as accessible as possible. Alt text should not be considered optional.
- Headline - Toggle the optional headline text. The headline text is editable by double-clicking on the text in the block. The Headline should be a one- or two- word action, like "Welcome", "Explore", "Learn"
- Link 1 - toggle to display quick link
- Link 2 - toggle to display quick link
- Link 3 - toggle to display quick link
- Link 4 - toggle to display quick link
- Link 5 - toggle to display quick link
- Link 6 - toggle to display quick link
- Photo Credit - Toggle the optional photo credit text. The field is editable by double-clicking on the text in the block.
The Links are basically buttons so that you can edit the text in the block and the URL in the settings.
