Accessibility
We want everything we do to be accessible to all our audiences, and are looking for ways to break down barriers so more people can enjoy Shakespeare at Winedale performances.
Here are some types of accessibility we are able to offer.
- Accessible Seating & Parking
The theater barn is equipped with an accessible entrance and provides wheelchair seating and companion seating. There is an ADA-accessible restroom and ADA-accessible parking located next to the theater barn. If you require additional assistance, please notify our office at (512) 471-4726 or shakespeare@austin.utexas.edu.
- Assisted Listening
We do not use an amplification system, and as such, are not able to provide assisted listening devices at this time. However, we would be happy to seat you closer to the stage. Please notify our office at (512) 471-4726 or shakespeare@austin.utexas.edu with any accessibility-related seating requests.
- Sign Interpreted Performances
In collaboration with the UT Department of Disability and Access, we are able to provide American Sign Language interpreted performances at your request. Please make your request by emailing shakespeare@austin.utexas.edu at least two weeks before the performance. Services are not guaranteed for all events and are subject to the availability of an interpreter.
