Graduate Research Assistants

Andrew Koepp (Ed.M., Harvard University) is a Ph.D. student in the department of Human Development and Family Scientists at the University of Texas at Austin and a Graduate Research Assistant at the Population Research Center. His research investigates early childhood development in the United States and Brazil, studying factors that promote maternal and child health, and children's skills for school readiness. Andrew also holds a degree in Human Development from Vanderbilt University (B.S.).

Brooke Whitfield is a Ph.D. student in the department of Sociology with a specialization in Demography at the University of Texas at Austin. She is also a Graduate Student Researcher at the Population Research Center. Her research focuses on sexual and reproductive health, contraception and abortion access, and sexual behaviors and attitudes. Prior to starting her graduate studies, Brooke worked as a research analyst at Child Trends conducting both quantitative and qualitative research across several randomized control trial evaluations of teen pregnancy prevention programs. She received her B.A. in Global Health and Public Policy from Duke University.
