Academic Support Services
Texas Language Center – BUR 230
The Texas Language Center offers a variety of student resources who are working to complete their foreign language requirement. These resources include language proficiency testing, language conversation practice meetings, and tutoring and translation services.
Sanger Learning Center – JES A332
The Sanger Learning Center provides academic support for all UT Austin students. They offer one-on-one and drop-in tutoring, learning specialist assistance, peer academic coaching, and other services. Tutoring is offered for sciences, maths, some foreign languages, and other subjects.
Liberal Arts Career Services – FAC 2.106
Liberal Arts Career Services provides a full range of career coaching, recruiting, and career education services to help you prepare for whatever you want to do in the future. LACS can help students with career exploration, searching for jobs and internships, and preparing to apply for law schools and graduate schools.
Undergraduate Writing Center – PCL 2.330
The UWC can help students from any major, with any writing project, at any point on their college career. The UWC offers appointments to students and resources to help with the writing process.
CalcLab – PMA 8.136
CalcLab is a place for students enrolled in calculus courses at UT to work with classmates and receive help on calculus problems. CalcLab is run by the Mathematics department, and is staffed with current calculus teaching assistants, as well as advanced undergraduate learning assistants.
PCL STEM Study Center – 2nd Floor, PCL
Peer tutoring is available for students enrolled in College of Natural Sciences courses. Tutoring sessions are held via Zoom and in person. Subjects for which tutoring is offered are Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Neuroscience.

Texas One Stop – MAI 1
Texas One Stop can answer questions regarding financial aid and scholarships and guide students through the process. One Stop can also help with paying tuition and ordering students records such as transcripts.
Counseling and Mental Health Center – SSB 0980
The Counseling and Mental Health Center provides support through assessment and referral, group and individual counseling, psychiatry and well-being services.
Disability and Access
Disability and Access (D&A) ensures students with disabilities have equal access to their academic experiences at the University of Texas at Austin by determining eligibility and approving reasonable accommodations.
Student Emergency Services – SSB 4.104
The Student Emergency Services office helps students and their families during difficult or emergency situations. Assistance includes outreach, advocacy, intervention, support, and referrals to relevant campus and community resources. Emergency situations may include missing students, family emergencies, fire or natural disasters, medical or mental health concerns, academic difficulties due to crisis or emergency situations, and interpersonal violence.
University Health Services - SSB
University Health Services provides medical care to undergraduate, graduate and professional students as well as public health leadership at The University of Texas at Austin. Students can schedule appointments online or over the phone.
UTurn Program – RLP 1.304
UTurn assists Liberal Arts students experiencing academic difficulty. By creating a network of resources and focusing on the individual needs of each student, UTurn enhances the learning experience of its participants. Furthermore, UTurn students are 25% more likely to avoid academic dismissal compared to those on academic probation who forgo the program.
Legal Services for Students
Legal Services for Students provide legal services specifically tailored to help students navigate the complexities of the legal system. They can advise on your rights and responsibilities in different areas of law, including landlord-tenant disputes, criminal citations, small claims court, car crashes and insurance, personal injury, powers of attorney, and consumer matters. Services are confidential, and free for students to use.
Center for Students in Recovery – BEL 222
The Center for Students in Recovery provides a supportive community where students in recovery and in hope of recovery can achieve academic success while enjoying a genuine college experience free from alcohol and other drugs.
