UTurn assists Liberal Arts students experiencing academic difficulty. By creating a network of resources and focusing on the individual needs of each student, UTurn enhances the learning experience of its participants. Furthermore, UTurn students are 25% more likely to avoid academic dismissal compared to those on academic probation who forgo the program.

In-Person Appointments
Virtual Appointments
UTurn provides:
- An assigned Academic Coach for regular one-on-one meetings
- A designed space, centrally located (RLP 1.304), to create an intellectual community and enhance students’ development
- Optional Peer Mentoring
- Social activities and events throughout each semester
- Program Workshops: Time Management, Study Skills, Test Taking Strategies, Navigating your Degree, Stress: Health and Wellness, Goal Setting: Short and long-term planning, Preparing for Finals
- A satellite UT Outpost (grab and go food pantry; appointments not required)
