Apply Now for Summer 2025

Complete the following steps to apply for Summer 2025 at the PfBAP as a student or volunteer.

• Complete the online application.
• Download, print, and complete the following forms:

   Agreement with Respect to Images, Photographs, Digital Images, and any other Recorded Media

   Terms and Conditions of Participation

   Assignment of Copyright

   Consent and Release for Interview, Photographing, Videotaping and/or Website Use

   Medical Insurance Information and Medical Waiver
   
• Prepare the following items:
• Check for your deposit of US $365.00 payable to Dr. Fred Valdez. Please include the student’s full name at the top of the check and write “PfBAP/CATS” in the memo section.
  • NOTE: The $365.00 deposit is required to reserve your position. Of the deposit, $100.00 is a non-refundable processing fee. The balance of $1,500.00 must be received by April 1, 2025, after which date the entire deposit of $365.00 is non-refundable. The entire program fee is non-refundable after your selected program begins (see above for dates). 
• Photocopy of your passport photo page. A valid passport is required to enter Belize.
• Submit the completed forms and payments to Dr. Fred Valdez directly, or mail them to:

Application Deadlines

Students at The University of Texas at Austin who will register for academic credit and who wish to be eligible to apply for the Belize field school program scholarship must apply by March 1, 2025. This scholarship is available only to students at The University of Texas at Austin who will be registering for academic credit.

All students at The University of Texas at Austin who will be registering for academic credit must apply by April 1st, 2025. Any student who applies after the March 1st scholarship deadline will not be eligible to apply for the program scholarship. 

All non-UT Austin students intending to earn academic credit must apply by March 1st, 2025. Non-UT Austin students must also complete, by March 1st, the following: admissions form, official transcript, advisor form, and acknowledgement form. Others, including volunteers from The University of Texas at Austin or volunteers from other institutions, must apply by April 1, 2025.
