I am an historian of Latin America specializing on modern Mexico. My research examines the interplay of Catholic lived religion and Mexico’s autocratic priísta regime after 1940. Following a dissertation research trip in Mexico City during the 2016-2017 academic year, I began the writing phase of my dissertation. My wide-ranging social science interests span multiple continents and time periods; I have long been interested in the natural sciences as well. Besides scholarly pursuits, I enjoy travel, photography, boating, and spending quality time with family and friends.
