I am a Doctoral Student in the Department of History at the University of Texas at Austin. I have an M.Phil (History), M.A (History) and B.A (History) from the University of Delhi. I have submitted my M.Phil thesis under the guidance of Dr. Anirudh Deshpande (DU). The dissertation was titled as 'Eighteenth-Century Deccan: A Military Perspective of Nizam Maratha Relations 1707-1795'.

My current area of research is related to the Fifteenth-century Deccan and its Islamic Cosmopolis. I am working on trans-Indian ocean diasporic migration and pluralistic cultures development under the Bahmani Sultanate in South Asia.

I have also taught 'History of Law in India' for 4 years at the Symbiosis Law School (Noida).
