Biography

My primary research focuses on the transnational history of Chinese in Mexico during the first half of the twentieth century.

Magnum opus:

  • Reimagining Borders: Triangular Transnationalism and Chinese Mexicans

My secondary research focuses on Latin America during the Cold War era. As with my primary research project, I examine the region through a transnational perspective.

I am fully fluent in English, Chinese, Spanish, and French, and I learn a new language every seven years since birth. My next target language is Russian, expecting to start in 2023.
