Welcome | About Us
Welcome to the Humanities Institute!
The Humanities Institute (HI) is the central hub for creating and sustaining humanities research at UT. We help researchers develop, apply for, and administer grants at the highest possible level for our grantees and their funders. We incubate, facilitate, support, and highlight humanities-centered research across the university, across communities, across disciplines, and across faculty, graduate students, undergraduate students, and staff. If you are looking for research-funding opportunities, guidance on how to take your research to the next level, new collaborators, or support on already funded projects related to the humanities, contact us!
We also support distinct opportunities through our three umbrella research initiatives: Initiative for Digital Humanities (IDH), and Intersectional Humanities Initiative (IHI).
We are proud to be a part of the College of Liberal Arts (COLA).
Sincerely,
Dr. Samantha Pinto
Director, Humanities Institute
