Support Plan II
Thank you for your interest in supporting Plan II! Our program could not provide everything it does for students without the generous support of alumni, parents, and friends. There are many ways to support Plan II, from small donations that support daily operations to larger gifts and endowments that fund study abroad and thesis research or underwrite student scholarships and faculty professorships. Your generosity fosters and forwards the excellence of Plan II.
If you would like to make a one-time or recurring pledge donation to Plan II, you can do so through the University's secure giving website (linked below as well). End Of Year Giving Information:
Credit Card via Online Giving: We will issue a 2024 tax receipt for a credit card gift if it is successfully charged by Dec. 31, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST). A credit card charged after 11:59 p.m. CST will be issued a 2025 tax receipt.
Credit Card via Mail: IRS regulations consider a credit card gift as having been made at the moment it is successfully charged. Postmark dates on mailed-in credit card gifts cannot be considered in determining tax deduction eligibility. If a credit card gift is charged on January 1, 2025 it will be issued a 2025 tax receipt regardless of the postmark date on the envelope. We recommend using the Online Giving Page when using a credit card to ensure that it will be considered a 2024 gift.
Credit Card via Phone: Texas Gift Operations will have limited in-office and on-call staffing during the Winter Break (December 23 - 31). Please call the TGO office at: 512-471-5424. Note that gifts over the phone are processed by TGO staff, not Plan II staff.
Wire Transfers: The deadline to give via wire transfer is December 20. 2024. Wire Transfers initiated after this date are not guaranteed to be counted as 2024 gifts.
Checks via Mail: We will issue a 2024 tax receipt for a gift if it is postmarked on or before Dec. 31, 2024, AND the check is dated on or before Dec. 31, 2024. If either the check OR the postmark is dated after Dec. 31, 2024, we will issue a 2025 tax receipt.

Donations to support Plan II's day-to-day operations can be made online through the University's secure giving website. These gifts are vital to program success. Gifts can be made as a one-time donation or monthly pledge.
Your online donation directly supports student activities such as peer advising, thesis symposium, career week, and the famous Plan II cookie jar.
After you enter your desired gift amount, click on the "Your Information" button to proceed to the payment processing page.
If you prefer to send your gift in by mail, you can address a check to "The University of Texas at Austin" with a note or memo line designating the gift to the Plan II Honors Program.
