Plan II Pre-Law Society: If you intend to pursue law, have an interest in the implications of the legal practice on society, or are merely wondering if law is your calling, P2PLS is the organization for you! Our bimonthly meetings have featured words of wisdom from the Dean of the UT Law School, a panel discussion by prominent leaders of the Texas legal community, various presentations discussing the practice of law applied to particular industries,and, of course, hallmarks of Plan II: dynamic group discussions and insightful mentoring from UT law professors. Contact: utplaniiprelaw@gmail.com

Plan II Pre-Medical Society (P2PM): The Plan II Pre-Medical Society (P2PM) exists to be a resource and guide for Plan II students interested in health and medicine. Plan IIPre-Med will host guest speakers who work in the health field in many different capacities, including doctors, professors, medical students and policy workers. P2PM help connect Plan II students with shadowing opportunities with local doctors and volunteering opportunities.  We will discuss the medical profession, the health field and all its complexities, medical school admissions, MCAT prep and med school interviews, as well as related topics in the humanities and policy. Plan II Consulting is an organization that intends to provide Plan II students with a curriculum that teaches basic consulting skills, combined with the opportunity to engage in projects for companies in the Austin area. Additionally, we will host guest speaker meetings and prepare members for the recruitment process. Applications are on a semesterly basis. Contact: collins.grushey@utexas.edu

PlanTutoring: A student-led outgrowth of the Plan II/KIPP Partnership, PlanTutoring organizes tutoring opportunities for students in the Austin KIPP school. Contact: plantutoring@gmail.com

Society of Plan II Engineers (SP2E): The goal of the Society of Plan II Engineers (SP2E; pronounced spitooee) is to help Plan II/Engineers bridge the gap between their engineering and liberal arts education by learning from people that have created a career involving both the sciences and the arts. To this end we hold dinners with distinguished guests each semester and fireside chats with distinguished UT professors. In the past we have hosted former Governor Ann Richards, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, former Austin Mayor Will Wynn, and Mark Strama. At our firesides we have hosted Dr. Hans Mark, Professor Larry Speck and Dr. Michael Webber. We also provide guidance to our members to help them navigate the demanding Plan II/Engineering curriculum at advising coffees each semester. Contact: utsp2e@gmail.com 

Plan II Hiking is a low-commitment organization that plans one monthly hike for all Plan II students. To join, watch for hike announcements in the Plan II GroupMe. Contact: erbartlett24@gmail.com

Plan II Business is an organization for every Plan II student with an interest in business, finance, entrepreneurship, money, etc. Plan II Business will be a forum to discuss relevant issues and listen to informative speakers, provide networking opportunities, and to learn more about how to pursue careers in investment banking, private equity, and consulting. Apricity: Apricity is a nonprofit, literary and art, multimedia, international magazine affiliated with the University of Texas at Austin Plan II Honors Program. The magazine accepts literary, visual and performing artworks for online content and selects the finest submissions to showcase in its annual print edition. Contact: theapricitymagazine@gmail.com

Black Honors Students AssociationThe Black Honors Students Association is a social organization that strives to create a network and community through discussion about the minority experience and social activities, while seeking service opportunities and providing helpful information. Contact: texasbhsa@gmail.com

Latinx Honors Student Association: The Latinx Honors Student Association is an organization aimed at building a sense of community for Latinx Honors students in various honors programs, such as Plan II, LAH, and BHP, but also for Latinx students in departamental honors programs. Reading Aces: Reading Aces is a nonprofit organization founded by a Plan II alumnus that strives to connect at-risk elementary students with positive role models and foster a love of reading. Volunteers with Reading Aces work to improve students' literacy skills by leading small group reading sessions at after school programs around East Austin. The Walker Fellowship is designed to provide students with a holistic set of tools to collaborate alongside community leaders to develop solutions for sustainable, social impact. The Fellowship accepts applications on a semesterly basis. View the website for more information.
