Undergraduate Academic Advising

After the recent changes to our semester structure and the rapidly-changing health situation in the country, we wanted to provide a brief update on our services for the near future.

We are providing advising services remotely Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. This also means that phone calls to our office will not be answered. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY MESSAGES ON OUR PHONE.

Email:  General advising questions for any PSY advisor:

Email Advising:  Email your assigned advisor (info on the right). ALWAYS Include your UT EID!

  • If you just have a quick question, emailing is the most efficient and quickest way to get a response. We will respond within 2-3 days.

  • If your questions are more involved but still prefer advising via email, send an email to your advisor, include your UT EID and your questions. We will try to respond within 2-3 days with answers or direct you to schedule an appointment as needed.

Video/Phone Appointments: Anything that cannot be resolved via email will be via Video or phone appointment; you will schedule your appointment on setmore here:

If you choose Zoom, you will receive an email from your advisor the day of your appointment with a meeting link. You will use this to join at the appropriate time.

If you choose phone, your advisor will call you at your appointed time. Please be sure your phone number is accurate and that you answer, as advisors will only call once.
