Fertility, Reproductive Health


Kristen is a doctoral student in the University of Texas Department of Sociology where she researches access to reproductive health services and trends in fertility in the United States. She is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and a trainee in the University of Texas Population Research Center. Her work has appeared in Demography, Contraception, and The Lancet Public Health. As a researcher with the Texas Policy Evaluation Project, she has co-authored policy briefs and op-eds on access to contraception and abortion in Texas. 

Prior to enrolling in graduate school, Kristen worked as a research assistant at the Guttmacher Institute and served as an AmeriCorps VISTA in Spartanburg, SC where she helped to open a free health clinic.
