Fertility, Reproductive Health


Kristen is a doctoral student in the University of Texas Department of Sociology and a trainee in the Population Research Center. Her research focuses on fertility and reproductive health in the United States. She studies access to contraception and abortion, as well as structural factors that influence trends in fertility. As a researcher with the Texas Policy Evaluation Project, she has co-authored policy briefs and op-eds that have aimed to communicate findings to a broad audience and assess the provision of reproductive health services in the state of Texas.

Prior to enrolling in graduate school, Kristen worked as a research assistant at the Guttmacher Institute and served as an AmeriCorps VISTA in Spartanburg, SC where she helped to open a free clinic for people without health insurance.
