Rachel is a fourth year doctoral student in sociology.  Her interests lie at the intersection of sociology, public policy, and economics.  She is currently investigating trends in income inequality in the United States and the European Union, the role of elite preferences in shaping markets and prices, and status reproduction during the transition to adulthood.
