General Advising

UTeach encourages students to be proactive and engage their academic careers. Most questions can be answered by following these easy steps:

• Search the UTeach-Liberal Arts website thoroughly as it can answer many of your questions.
• Attend an information session (found on the Events section of this website).
• Write down specific questions prior to contacting our office to make your session more productive.

Professional Development Sequence Advising

During UTL 202 all students must meet with the UTeach academic advisor. These meetings are designed to help you get organized, learn about UTeach-Liberal Arts coursework, and plan to enter the Professional Development Sequence in UTeach-LA. The intent is not to prescribe what coursework you take, but rather to help you make educated decisions as you complete UTeach. You will be instructed about the procedure for setting up an advising appointment during your UTL 202 course. A list of certification areas that will be served by the academic advisors can be found here.
