Jealousy destroys the royal family of Sicily when King Leontes imprisons Queen Hermione on suspicions of infidelity and banisheshis newborn princess. But Time and the gods spin this tragic tale into one of delight, as audiences travel from the courtto the country, meeting colorful characters and discovering that magic is real. Through compassion and forgiveness in the throes of suffering and grief, all characters find happiness in more ways than they could ever anticipate or suspect. This production will feature one hundred alumni from the past fifty years of Shakespeare at Winedale.
