Jo Giese Excellence Endowment Travel Scholarship for Research in American Studies

Amount: Starting at $1,000

Eligibility: Open to American Studies Undergraduate or Graduate students pursuing research activities that involve travel, or for AMS undergraduate majors participating in a study abroad program. Travel to academic conferences may also be considered. Students who have previously received a Giese Excellence Award are eligible to apply again; however, preference will be given to those who have not yet received an award.

How to Apply: The AMS Undergraduate Advisor and Graduate Coordinator will send a call for applications during the fall semester, for an early November deadline. Applicants will meet with the donor, Jo Giese, over Zoom to discuss their research projects.
