In this presentation, Dr. Kemp will discuss his ongoing efforts to reconstruct ancient fishing practices of prehistoric peoples of the Pacific Northwest.  Problems and prospects of approaching this topic with genetic data will be highlighted.

 

Brian Kemp is an Associate Professor of Antropology at the University of Oklahoma.  His research interests include Molecular Anthropology, Ancient DNA, Forensic DNA, and Native American Prehistory
