Prospective Students

The Department of Economics at UT-Austin is one of the largest majors in the College of Liberal Arts. It is home to over 2,700 students and over 40 faculty members. Undergraduate students take classes in micro and macro economics, statistics, econometrics, and theory, as well as electives in a range of topics, from banking and finance, to global development, to public policy.
